Sneak Product Peek - Red River SemiGloss

Next week, we are going to roll out the first semi-gloss, plain paper back media for UltraChrome and pigment inks. Red River SemiGloss will primarily fit the needs of Epson UltraChrome users who want a shiny surface greeting card stock.

To this point, the best greeting card paper for printers like the Epson 2200 or R1800 were matte or art papers. With this new paper, Red River again expands the creative envelope for pigment ink users.

Red River SemiGloss will be available in these sizes:

7 x 10 scored fold to 5 x 7
6.25 x 9 scored fold to 4.5 x 6.25
5.5 x 8.5 scored fold to 4.25 x 5.5
8.5 x 11

How Red River Paper Works

We are often asked to characterize how we do business and why we are different from the competition. Red River is a paper converter at heart, meaning we have all of the eqipment necessary to take paper in bulk from a mill, and turn it into product you can use.



What does this mean? Control. Control over quality, consistency, price. There are no intermediate wholesalers and resellers that inevitably keep prices higher. This is different from most every other inkjet supplier. Even the big name printer manufacturers sometimes source products from converters like Red River.

The bottom line is because we are just one step from the source mills, Red River can offer you a smoother buying experience as products tend to be in-stock and ready to ship 98% of the time. Pricing advantage means you can print more, or make more from jobs printed on our paper.

New ICC Profiles Posted

We have just posted color profiles for the Canon i6600d for our most popular greeting card papers. This Canon uses the ChromaLife inkset, which we expect to see on more printers going forward.
